Last Thursday I went to the Steely Dan concert in the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. The concert was part of their Left Bank Holiday tour. All said and done, it was almost worth losing the phone just for the thrill of finding it like this. We want to pitch a reality show to the Discovery Channel: “Phone Hunters.” It certainly felt like we were in one there for a second.

Freddie Hubbard died last May. Listening through Spotify to the album “Without a song - Live in Europe in 1969” released on Blue Note. Never listened a lot to Freddie but this sure is amazing stuff.

iPhone: from frustration to fantastic.

Last weekend I bought a children bike seat via Marktplaats.nl, the Dutch classifieds site, to be placed in our new cargo bike for my youngest boy. I ended up in the house of the seller, Faisel Rajjab, who appears to be an illustrator and writer of the Dutch food book “The adventurous Surinam kitchen”. I love Surinam food and will definitely buy his book!
