An example of an entry for the National Geographic Photo Contest 2011. The whole selection is breathtaking. Love the first comment which nicely illustrates how the internet is blurring the line between amateur and professional: “I’ve been a professional photographer for 30 years and never even got close to taking anything like the quality of these images.” (thanks for the pointer dad!)
