Rest in Peace.
Jobs on brands in 1984: “We believe that people with passion CAN change the world”. Classic.
If you don’t buy a new iPhone every year — if you have the good sense to hold onto them for more than a year before upgrading to a new model — then you’ll likely want to wait for a new iPad, too.

Incorrect photo orientation on Flickr
“Previous to iOS4 the iPhone used the CPU to orient the picture before saving it so that a rotation was not needed on the viewing end. This rotation is CPU intensive and was one of the reasons for the long save times on iPhone cameras. Modern cameras (Canon, Nikon, etc.) do not do this, they save the image in their native format and set the rotation flag based upon how the image should be viewed. With iOS4 Apple merely joined the ‘modern’ camera world in this respect.”
Aha. That’s the reason my photos show up with incorrect orientation on Flickr and correctly on Tumblr. Laziness on the end of Flickr?

Nice post by Bijan about the differences between the iPhone and Android app markets. I have about 7 premium, paid iPhone apps out of 50 in total. And I haven’t made one purchase ever which I regretted, let alone within 24 hours. So I actually think I would try more apps if a refund policy applied.

So I peeked through the glass and saw three beautiful Braun PCS5’s, designed by Dieter Rams - the guy Jonathan Ive from Apple gets his inspiration from. This makes me greedy…
How Boxee Sees the Apple TV
Apple TV… right. They want us to pay them $99 to be able to purchase content in their store. Oh, and I can watch YouTube videos and my Flickr photos. No way. I’m going for a Boxee Box. Let me decide what content I want to see on the big screen using their open source solution. Would love it if they integrate EyeTV as well. That could possibly spare me a MacMini.
