If you think you have something super secret that no one else should know, just don’t tell me about it. Oh – and check your assumption in that case – especially since the value is in creating the thing, not simply having the idea.
A foreign entrepreneur wanted my advice on how to enter the Dutch market with their idea and asked me to sign an NDA in order to be fully open. Which I am not going to do. Brad Feld sums up the arguments nicely, and although I’m not a VC they still hold up: Why Most VC’s Don’t Sign NDAs
